Building and Maintaining Key Relationships
Before I found the Wheelin Jaz I was lost and broken, when I was asked to play basketball the first time I was a little surprised they had such a sport, however through the 4 years that I was accepted and supported by all the amazing people in the ‘Road to Recovery’ program, I was able to take what was being taught to me, and apply it to my own dreams.
Having done so has led me to and prepared me for being a
collegiate student athlete at The University of Texas @ Arlington – UTA.
I am also now an honor student as well as a 2X defending national champion in wheelchair basketball. I look forward to heading back to Utah one day after graduation to continue to help, be an advocate and a pioneer for the ‘Road to Recovery’ program as well as adaptive sports.
Special thanks to my teammates back in Utah and the leadership team of Jeff G. Mike S. and Dan M.
I’ll cherish your friendships and mentorship all my life.
We’d appreciate your support
